If you are trying to find the best Chinese restaurant in Jeddah then you are in the right city for the right reasons because the food here won’t disappoint you.
NOT EVEN A LITTLE!
You will get Korean, Indian and some great seafood options in Jeddah
BUT TODAY
We are only talking about some Chinese food with things like crispy beef, dim sum and duck bao.
Let me be honest with you.
I have spent more time than I can remember visiting different Chinese restaurants in Jeddah and trying things like dumplings, noodles and those chicken corn soups.
AND
I have shortlisted three of my favorite Chinese places which are:
- Toki
- Wakame
- CHAN
Now you might be wondering why these places?
Let me tell you then.
1. Toki
Toki is well known in Jeddah for a number of reasons.
The moment you walk into this place you will know that the interior design isn’t like any other place in Jeddah. It leans more towards that luxury and upscale vibe.
The dining area has a nice calm mood with dimly lit design, Chinese art on the walls and plush chairs where you can sit for hours without getting bored.
If you are going on a date or maybe trying to impress someone this is the place to be in. Its not an everyday Chinese restaurant but it isn’t too fancy either where you have to pull up in a suit.
The service is on point and the waiters helped me pick the best items according to my taste.
The dining area is big so you won’t be sitting there hearing a conversation about a breakup from the table behind.
What to Order at Toki? My Picks from the Menu
The menu here is huge but there are some dishes that I would order again if I visit this place and those are:
Crystal Shrimp Dumpling: The thing I liked about these dumplings is that they didn’t try to over do them. It had that perfect balance of ginger and onion which I definitely loved.
Wagyu Puff with Black Pepper Mayo: You might expect it to be too heavy but it isn’t actually. The pastry is flaky and the pepper mayo gives it a nice taste.
Wagyu Beef Tenderloin with Black Pepper: This is listed as their signature dish and when you try it you will know exactly why. The beef was tender, the pepper sauce was rich, and everything worked together without being too salty of oily.
Egg Fried Rice with Vegetables: If you order chicken or beef I would highly recommend pairing it with this rice. This is a Chinese classic and they did it better than any place in Saudi I have tried so far.
Where To Find Toki Restaurant?

2. Wakame
This restaurant is kind of a mix of Japanese and Chinese food in Jeddah. This is probably one of the best places for sushi in Jeddah but that’s not all.
I was instantly impressed by the calm, earthy atmosphere of this restaurant. You will see light wood dividers, warm neutral seating, and soft lighting that makes the entire place feel grounded and effortless.
I can literally sit here for hours without doing anything.
What to Order at Wakame
Trust me, the menu is huge. You can visit five times and still not even scratch the surface. Let me tell you about my favorites here:
Spicy Kani Salad: This is probably the best and most healthy starter on their menu. It has a nice blend of creamy, spicy and refreshing all at once. The crab and cucumber are tossed in their homemade spicy mayo and you would definitely want to take some home too.
Beef Bulgogi: This one was my favorite out of the favorites (If that makes sense). The beef is tender and goes nicely with the creamy truffle mashed potatoes.
Salmon Lovers Platter: Why not try a bit of everything? This set includes salmon sashimi, nigiri, and maki, covering all the textures. Smooth, soft and crunchy.
Location Of Wakame
You can find this Chinese restaurant at King Abdul Aziz Rd, Al Zahra, Jeddah 23424, Saudi Arabia.

3. Chan
If you want to experience the streets of China while sitting in Riyadh then this is the place to visit. When I walked in it reminded me of my walks around the streets of China back in time.
The restaurant is full of energy, neon lights and Chinese art all around. The signs are loud, the lanterns are glowing, and the music’s got just enough bass to set the mood without drowning your convo.
It’s a chaos, but in a good way.
The vibe could only impress if the food is good and guess what?
IT WAS DELICIOUS AND AUTHENTIC!
What You Have to Order
I don’t know why but these Chinese restaurants have huge menus. I haven’t tried all their items but I will pick the best from the ones I already tried which are:
Dynamite Shrimps: This dish is available in most restaurants around Jeddah but its usually all sauce and no flavor but not here. This one tastes bold, creamy and will finish before you even realize.
Beef Mongolian: The beef in this dish is perfect. Its soft, buttery, and has a hint of garlic and soya sauce. I would recommend getting it with a bowl of rice to enjoy the full taste.
Tom Yum Ramen: I am a big ramen fan and this dish didn’t disappoint. This one has a hint of fire and coconut with the ramen mixed in vegetables. If you want to snack around this is the dish to go for.
Where Is Chan Located?
You can find this restaurant at Al Zahra, Ahmad Al Attas Street, Jeddah 23521, Saudi Arabia.
