Report: Al-Hilal Close to Signing Inter Milan Coach Simone Inzaghi

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Saudi club Al-Hilal is on the verge of signing Italian coach Simone Inzaghi to manage their first football team.

The Italian newspaper reported that Al-Hilal’s management is confident that Inzaghi has accepted the offer and will join the team after the UEFA Champions League final.

When Will Inzaghi Join?

Inzaghi is currently the head coach of Inter Milan, who will play against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final on May 31.
If confirmed, he is expected to start his role with Al-Hilal in June, in time for the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.

Inzaghi’s Representative Visits Riyadh

Sources told Al-Riyadh newspaper that a representative of Inzaghi recently arrived in Riyadh.
He came to:

  • Evaluate schools and facilities
  • Understand the environment before making a final decision

Inzaghi’s Coaching Background

Simone Inzaghi began his coaching career in 2016 with Lazio, initially as a temporary coach.
He continued there until 2021, then moved to Inter Milan, where he achieved:

  • Coppa Italia
  • Italian Super Cup

In 2023, his team reached the Champions League final, losing 1-0 to Manchester City.
