Saudi Arabia Turns Expos Into Startup Launchpads with Exponeur

Exponeur

Riyadh – June 2025
Saudi Arabia isn’t just attending global expos. It’s turning them into launchpads for entrepreneurs.

At Expo 2025 in Osaka, the Kingdom introduced Exponeur a five-year global initiative that supports entrepreneurs from around the world. It’s not just a program. It’s a global startup movement.

The goal? Use each Expo from Osaka 2025 to Riyadh 2030 to build real connections between founders, investors, and innovators

From Showcases to Solutions

Exponeur isn’t about showcasing ideas. It’s about building them.

Through the Exponeur Academy, 150 founders every year will receive six months of hands-on training. They’ll pitch to real investors. Get real feedback. And walk away ready to scale.

The initiative also includes competitions tied to each Expo’s theme. Winners will be featured at Expo 2030 Riyadh, putting global attention on their ideas.

Riyadh’s Startup Future Starts Now

This isn’t just about 2030. Riyadh is becoming a startup capital today.

Each year, the city will host the Annual Exponeur Event. Think panels, demos, networking, and VC meetings all in one place.

And with a new Entrepreneurship Development Fund, Saudi Arabia is backing founders where it matters: funding.

Global Collaboration, Saudi-Style

The project is led by Prince Fahad bin Mansour bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz, and backed by the Ministry of Investment, the Vision Leadership Association, and GEN.

It’s also supported by SBI Holdings Japan, showing that international players are betting on Saudi Arabia’s startup vision.

Mansour Al-Sa’nouni, the initiative’s founder, says it best:

“Exponeur started as an idea in Expo 2020 Dubai. Now, it’s a global platform built for entrepreneurs who solve real problems.”
