UAE and Saudi Leaders Meet in Riyadh Ahead of GCC-U.S. Summit to Strengthen Regional Ties

Riyadh, May 14, 2025 – In a key diplomatic event, His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, arrived in Riyadh to lead the UAE delegation at the GCC-U.S. Summit, representing President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

His arrival marks a strong step toward deepening regional cooperation and bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

UAE-Saudi Talks on Shared Interests

Upon his arrival at King Khalid International Airport, Sheikh Khaled was welcomed by Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman, Deputy Governor of Riyadh, along with senior Saudi officials.

Later, he met with His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, to review bilateral ties, regional security, and shared development goals.

The meeting was also attended by Prince Khalid bin Salman, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Defense, reflecting a high-level discussion on defense cooperation and strategic alignment.

Summit Focus: Security, Economy, and Development

Held in Riyadh, the GCC-U.S. Summit 2025 brings together leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and U.S. President Donald Trump. The summit aims to:

  • Advance sustainable development and climate-focused initiatives
